New to downtown Wayne – a canoe/kayak launch at Goudy Park! Completed in August, this now makes recreational canoeing and kayaking an option on the lower branch of the Rouge River that runs through Wayne. For now it is BYOB – bring your own boat. Rental information/dates to be posted when available!

Just tried kayaking here today for the first time. Went in at the launch and had to stop just past Second St. Trees, limbs, and logs are blocking the river. So Bummed 😔

So sorry to hear that! With all of the rain we’ve gotten recently there are a lot of new logjams that have formed. The volunteers work constantly to keep it clear, hopefully it will be open again soon!
