Wayne Main Street wants to help strengthen businesses in our main street district and help your business grow.  We can assist you in providing relevant information and data that can be integral to you in making more informed decisions concerning your business.  We can help identify and provide opportunities that can propel your business to the next level of success.  We are your support network and portal to resources, special services and programs.  We also have allies at the local to the national level who can offer additional resources, guidance and assistance to you.  You are important to us and we want nothing more than for your business to thrive here in Wayne.

Market Analysis
Wayne Main Street was awarded market study services from Michigan Main Street in Lansing following a statewide review of applications.  The professional research and planning firm Downtown Professionals Network was retained by Michigan Main Street to facilitate the Downtown Wayne Market Study and Business Development Strategies project.

Façade Grant
A financial incentive program developed by the Design Committee of Wayne Main Street.  This program provides financial assistance through a 50% matching grant of up to $10,000.  It is offered to buildings and business owners within the main street district seeking to renovate or restore the façade of their building.  There are signage and awning grant opportunities available as well.  Applications are currently being accepted for all of the grants!
Design Services
This program provides free design recommendations and renderings for façade improvements to building and business owners within the main street district.  Wayne Main Street offers three of these complimentary services per year provided by the Design Specialist at the Michigan Main Street Center.

  •   Service Corp of Retired Executives is the largest network of volunteer expert business people, that offers free and confidential business advice and mentoring tailored to meet the needs of small businesses and personal objectives.
  •  Small Business Development Center provides counseling, training, research and advocacy to businesses.
  •   SBDC center Eastern Michigan University – has links to Detroit and Schoolcraft College SBDC centers.
  •     Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), have resources that can help with operational guidance, capital funding, technology and more.  SBDC published guide to operating a small business is on this site.
  •   Largest community of Michigan women business owners.  Offers access to business organizations, events, training, support, and resources.
